Cartographer [International Research]

Cartographer digital mapping system is a software developer's tool thatallows programmer's to create powerful new client/server applications forgeographic information system (GIS) presentations. The Cartographerdeveloper's kit contains a robust application program interface (API)with C,C++ and Ada interface libraries. Written in the C++ programminglanguage, Cartographer was built for Unix based computers and supportsboth Motif and OpenLook graphical user interfaces. Using the X Windowsystem to create displays of digital map data, Cartographer can plotvector maps, raster maps, weather satellite images, digitized charts andphotographs at any scale. The API contains over 150 well documentedfunctions.
